Why the Coalition Wants to Limit International Students？

I want to write a news commentary, specifically focusing on a news event. This news article, published by ABC, is titled “Coalition pledges to limit new international student enrolments to 240,000 per year”.

There are three different audience for my article. Firstly, my target audience is international students currently studing in Australia because this event is closely related to them. If the Coalition come into power in the future, there could be a significant reduction in the number of international students. Therefore, international students are more likely to pay more attention on it. Secondly, university staff may also pay more attention to this news. This is because they work in universities. If the number of international students decreases, it means that they are likely to receive less tuition fees, which will lead to a reduction in the income of local universities. This mayalso result in a decrease in the salaries of some teachers or professors. Therefore, they will also be more concerned about this news. Thirdly, ordinary shop owners may also take notice of this news. This is because they may own several stores, and the main customers of these stores are likely to be international students. These students possess strong consumption power that contributes to the growth of the local economy. However, the policy to limit international students may have an impact on the shop owners’ income.

Thus, for all of the above reasons, it can be concluded that the audience for this news article is very extensive.

In news contents, I plan to interview some international students to hear their views and opinions on whether this measure is right or wrong to enrich the content of this news piece. I might also attempt to interview teachers to know how they comment on this. This can better enhance the objectivity of the news and make the content accurate and unbiased.

For the publish plantform, I want to publish it on the ABC news platform. This is because it has a wide audience, which can better match the target readership of the article.

In order to restore this event in a more comprehensive and authentic manner, I will collect reports on this event from different platforms. For example, I plan to select the reports from SBS News for a comparative analysis. In addition, based on these news reports, I will delve deeply into the reasons why the Coalition pledged to limit the number of international students. Is this measure related to the latest Australian general election? If this policy is implemented, what significant impact will it have on Australia? For Australia, does this policy bring more advantages than disadvantages or vice versa? I will conduct a comprehensive and well organized analysis of the above questions.

In conclusion, I will also search for the true reasons why the Coalition party intends to introduce this policy by studying the articles currently published. I will conduct a thorough analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of this event toensure that my commentary on it is accurate and objective.
