This Article, written by Margret Cook, who has written a book on the history of flooding in Brisbane. Goes into the reasons behind Brisbane’s flooding history. Quotes
The way this article could be improved is by having interviews with the people most effected by this flood. The article has so much historical context that the people who are currently facing these floods become a secondary issue. Having some quotes from the people of Brisbane on how they are preparing might help others.
Scanning the article the reader might miss the inclusion of 1974 and 2022 floods respectively and only see a photo from the 1800 pulling them further from the current day event. Having a shot from the wreckage of the 2022 floods would allows readers to be more grounded in what is currently happening.
