This is story is quite close to our daily life because we all TikTok frequent users and the group most likely to follow the steaming trend.In this story the author mentioned the potential harm the social media may cause and take the sun tan as an example.The whole story flows clearly and gives a lot of details. However , there’s some issues I think it should prove.
Firstly for the target audience, the article just mention about the Gen Z but actually some elders also using these social media app and also influenced by these unhealthy information, the target audience is not fully summarised.There should be other group of user also involved in.
Moreover the story doesn’t have any tips on how to distinguish unhealthy information ,it just points out why these behaviours are unhealthy.In my opinion, a news report should also bear some guidance and educational significance rather than mere propaganda. Although this article lists a lot of information, it’s lacks of guidance for readers.Some relevant references can be added at the end to teach the audience how to spot potentially harmful information and resist rather than follow it.
